Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about bars.

Which town has the best nightlife in the Algarve?

If you’re looking to dance until sunrise, Albufeira is your answer. It’s the undisputed nightlife capital of the Algarve, with its famous “Strip” packed with bars, clubs, and live music venues that keep going well into the early hours.

Not your scene? Lagos is a great alternative: it has a lively but more laid-back vibe, popular with backpackers and younger crowds.

Where are the best beach bars in the Algarve?

Good news: the Algarve does beach bars really well. Some of our favorites: Nosolo Água Portimão, Club Nau & Ti Raul.

Are bars expensive in the Algarve?

Honestly, not really — especially compared to most Western European cities. A local beer like Sagres or Super Bock will typically set you back €2 to €3. A glass of wine around €3 to €4. Cocktails are where prices creep up a bit, usually €8 to €12 depending on where you are.
